Battery Drain on Firmware Version 21 - Fenix 5. I had to update to the latest firmware version (21.00) last week as I realized the Garmin Connect app has not synced with watch for over 2 weeks. Since the update, battery consumption has steadily increased from 0.32%/h from 1 Dec, to 1.6%/h today. It's total madness!
Recently though, I've noticed I've been needing to charge this MUCH sooner than normal. I don't get anywhere near 3 weeks. Here are my current settings - Garmin Stock Watch Face - Backlight only on when I press button or touch screen ( after midnight I have to press button, touch screen is off completely ) - Wifi is OFF - PulseOx is OFF - HR is

Update. I was almost sure with fenix software update 15.20 battery extreme drain should be fixed. Today I have performed a run with inReach mini connected to my fenix 6X Pro Solar. Unfortunately when I finished this run battery goes to be empty as it was with a previous firmware. Nothing fixed. It is real shame for Garmin.
The original battery monitor app I was using had me at 0.7%/hour, which is a 6 day battery life (no GPS activities) I did a soft-reset today (the one that keeps your activities and music but clears everything else), and put Battery Gauge on and charged to 100%. Now it's on 68%! In 5 hours! With a run that was 1hour 8minutes long.
Hi. Today I tested my watch due to excessive battery drain and conclusion are: I turned off permission for Connect app to access location services from Always to Only when using app and battery drain back to around 6% per 24hours without using gps or any activity which I believe is decent as it gives roughly 16 days of battery life. Yesterday I started my morning with 100% battery life, ran/hiked for 5 hours, and then normal everyday activity the remainder of the day. Battery was down to 21% when I went to bed. I hate to be a conspiracy theorist, but this issue starting in parallel with the release of the Fenix 7 has me scratching my head.
An all things Garmin Fenix related. Coins. Firmware 14.36 released with battery drain fix . I had 0.3%/hour battery usage with v14.31 and so far 0.1%/hour
1148530 6 months ago. Automatically updated to version 26.00 mid week, now experiencing significant battery drain 2% per hour. Soft reset three times, no improvement. Charged to 100% yesterday at 2pm EST and now at 56%, at 11 EST … and only did a 5km run. Before I could get 5-6 days per charger and that is with running 1 hour per day.
It does not matter what kind of settings I activate/deactivate, as long as phone is connected the battery drains fast. Hopefully they will fix this issue short term few days back there was a Garmin Connect update on my Android phone. Since then the battery drain of my Fenix 6 went down to 0.33/hr, which is much better than it was before Garmin Fenix 6 Series; Garmin Fenix 7 Series It sticks the time up top and then splits up the rest of the screen to show off information like heart rate, battery, and current temperature with Turn off pulse ox or set it to manually and check your watchface. Some watchface features drain the battery faster than the stock faces. Famous-Strain-3012 • 1 yr. ago. Mine is not able to get 10-day battery life even having the pulse ox off and backlight at lowest setting without any activity running. I would like to report a problem with my Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Solar. I have noticed that since one of the firmware updates (26.00), the battery consumption has increased considerably, going from having an autonomy of about 10-12 days to barely one day; I have calculated a discharge rate of 5% every hour.
The battery, when stopped, was at 48%, which is a dramatic difference from 20% the other day! Glad it helped! There have been a lot of updates. Make sure you are in latest update and after each update reboot you watch (helps clear update glitches some of which can drain battery).
i work 12.5 hour shifts as a nurse and I’ve noticed that my body battery seems to fall quicker the higher it starts off. if I start the day with around 80 battery I usually end around 30 but recently I’ve had a couple nights of not good sleep with an unbalanced HRV and I started the day on 50 body battery but ended on 20. c0JqU.
